Studio Diary
A visual record of goings on during August, September and almost all of October 2025
Books! Was my answer to how to display the 52 postcard sized images that I took for the year-long Revolve project. But that seems such a long time ago now. It’s been a busy few months with two major events, Worcestershire Open Studios during August, and the REVOLVE exhibition in September. And in-between the two, the uncertainty of when the Collective would be able to move into our new building.
All the publicity had been done for REVOLVE to take place as our first show in the new space, however, legal delays with the contract meant it was not to be. So, lots of work had to take place setting up the show in our old space which was now full of boxes and a complete mess pending the move, but we managed it and it all worked out fine. I documented the show a few weeks back:
Pictures at an Exhibition
As regular readers know, I’ve been working on a year-long project, along with 15 other artists, making a piece of art per week. The culmination of the project was an exhibition of all 800+ pieces of work which took place last weekend. The response to the show has been amazing with a packed preview evening on Friday followed by a steady stream of visitor…
With the current lease on the Collective building nearing its end we finally got permission to have access to just move furniture and equipment into the new building. That meant two days of lifting and carrying followed by another two days cleaning up the old place and putting fresh paint on the walls. Hence my lack of diary posts and this hasty round-up. We now have keys and have full access to our new space so some sort of order has been restored, although there’s still plenty to do.
And finally, some pictures taken over the last few weeks.
